General description

Poly[(o-cresyl glycidyl ether)-co-formaldehyde] (PCGF) is an o-cresol based epoxy resin, which can be cured by cross-linking it with an anhydride based curing agent. It is majorly used in the development of coatings and adhesives.

Application

PCGF can be used in the formation of a hard carbon nanocomposite as an anode material for lithium ion batteries. It can be crosslinked with poly(ethtylene imine) for the fabrication of thin nano-membrane, which can be used as a free-standing substrate material.
