General description

Calcium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide (Ca(TFSI)2) is a white powder that is highly soluble in polar organic solvents. Ca(TFSI)2 exhibits good thermal and electrochemical stability. Our battery grade Ca(TFSI)2 offers high purity and low water content, which is suitable for battery applications.
We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. This product has been enhanced for energy efficiency. Click here for more information.

Application

Calcium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (Ca(NTf2)2) is a chemical compound commonly used as an electrolyte in electrochemical applications such as calcium-ion batteries and supercapacitors. It is often used in combination with other electrolytes, additives, and solvents to form tailored electrolyte formulations to enhance the performance, stability, and safety of electrochemical devices There have been reports using Ca(NTf2)2 in lithium-ion batteries. Reesearch shows that mixing Ca(NTf2)2 into LiPF6-based electrolytes yielded higher capacity, superior cyclability, and higher Coulombic efficiencies in both half-cell and full-cell configurations when compared with standard electrolytes in lithium-ion batteries
