General description

Lithium chloride, anhydrous, trace metal grade is white color crystal salt with a purity of ≥ 99.95%. Its anhydrous form is particularly valuable in battery technology, organic synthesis, polymer chemistry, biochemical applications, and electrochemical processes due to its reactivity and moisture-free nature. We packaged anhydrous Lithium chloride in our innovative Redi Dri(TM) packaging, which easily can prevent the absorption of moisture. The packaging has distinct features and advantages alon with specification of the product.

Application

The primary application of Lithium chloride (LiCl) is in battery research. Lithium chloride is used as an additive in electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries to improve ionic conductivity and enhance battery performance. It can be used in research areas centered on utilizing LiCl in the synthesis of cathode and anode materials to develop more efficient and stable battery components. Lithium chloride is studied for its pharmacological effects, particularly in the treatment of bipolar disorder and other mood disorders, providing insights into its mechanisms and potential new therapeutic applications. LiCl is utilized as a catalyst in various organic synthesis reactions, such as the formation of organolithium compounds and other organic transformations. Experiments established that LiCl acts as a highly effective catalyst for the cyanosilylation of various aldehydes and ketones to the corresponding silylated cyanohydrins. Additionally, it serves as an effective desiccant, a drying agent, and a flux in metallurgical processes. The absence of water in anhydrous LiCl enhances its performance and suitability for applications where moisture control is essential.

Features and Benefits

The anhydrous form of lithium chloride guarantees the absence of moisture, essential for preserving battery efficiency and averting undesired side reactions. Its anhydrous nature enhances reactivity, rendering it suitable for moisture-sensitive processes. The 99.95% purity minimizes contamination from heavy trace metals, ensuring suitability for applications sensitive to even minute impurities. It contains less than 0.6% water to develop a more efficient battery component.- Maintains a free-flowing powder form for longer usability.- Slower moisture uptake enhances stability and effectiveness.
