General description
Inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate (IP3), a secondary messenger can bind to the IP3 receptor. The 1,3,5-inositol trisphosphate is formed due to phosphatidyl inositol breakdown, binds to an intracellular receptor, which enhances intracellular calcium.
Biochem/physiol Actions
The inositol triphosphate (IP3)-signaling pathway may be linked with several progressive and biological processes in plants.
