General description

VSA-1 is a semisynthetic saponin adjuvant derived from the naturally occurring and readily accessible Momordica saponin, capable of stimulating antigen-specific humoral and cellular immune responses. Both VSA-1 and QS-21 significantly increased the titers of IgG and opsonic antibodies against seven selected serotypes, including serotypes 3, 14, and 19A, which are associated with most PCV13 breakthrough infections.
