General description
TCMG Agar is designed to achieve higher growth of bacteriophages. The agar supports lawn culture of the host microorganism and the associated phages.
TCMG Agar is supplemented with casein and peptone which promotes increased growth of the host organism aiming towards a larger bacteriophage growth.
Post lytic cycle, the multiplied bacteriophages can be extracted and analyzed or used for further experiments as the medium allows rapid diffusion of the grown phages.
