General description
Zinc finger protein 260 (PEX1) is transcription factor, which belongs to the krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. It is expressed in fetal and adult heart, lung, skeletal muscle, and adrenal glands. It responds to changes in the activity of alpha1-adrenergic receptors; and binds to PE response elements in genes involved in cardiac function, such as ANF/NPPA.
~46 kDa observed. An uncharacterized band may be observed at ~16 kDa in some cell lysates.
Immunogen
MBP-tagged recombinant protein corresponding to rat Zinc Finger Protein 260.
Application
Detect Zinc Finger Protein 260 using this Anti-Zinc Finger Protein 260 Antibody validated for use in Western Blotting, ICC & IHC.
Western Blot Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution of this antibody detected Zinc Finger Protein 260 in 10 µg of mouse heart tissue lysate.
Immunocytocchemistry Analysis: A representative lot from an independent laboratory detected Zinc Finger Protein 260 in adeno-HA-AS-PEX1-infected rat primary cardiomyocytes (Komati, H., et al. (2011). J Biol Chem. 286(2):1508-1516.).
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A representative lot from an independent laboratory detected Zinc Finger Protein 260 in alpha-MHCMerCreMer/CAT-PEX1 transgenic mouse heart tissue treated with Tamoxifen (Komati, H., et al. (2011). J Biol Chem. 286(2):1508-1516.).
