General description

Kidney dysfunction in dogs can be detected through subtle changes in filtration, protein reabsorption, and epithelial integrity. Biomarkers such as Albumin, β-2-Microglobulin, RBP4, and TFF-3 offer valuable insights into these processes. Albumin leakage into urine reflects glomerular damage, while β-2-Microglobulin indicates tubular dysfunction. RBP4 is a marker of proximal tubule injury and vitamin A transport, and TFF-3 plays a role in epithelial protection and regeneration. Together, these analytes provide a focused profile of renal health and early-stage kidney injury in canine models

Application

MILLIPLEX® Qualified assays undergo rigorous assay development, verification, and Quality Control testing to achieve optimal performance. Simultaneously analyze up to 4 analytes in canine urine samples.

Analytes included: Albumin, β-2-Microglobulin, RBP4, TFF-3

Assay Characteristics: Refer to assay protocol for details on cross-reactivity, sensitivity, precision, and accuracy.
