>98% (SDS-PAGE and HPLC)

Quality Level

technique(s)

cell culture | mammalian: suitable

UniProt accession no.

General description

FUNCTION: SwissProt: P15248 # Supports IL-2 independent and IL-4 independent growth of helper T-cells.
SIZE: 144 amino acids; 15909 Da

The ED(50) was determined by the dose-dependent inhibition of antigen-specific T-cell proliferation is <10 ng/mL.

Physical form

Lyophilized from 5mM Tris, pH 7.2.

Preparation Note

The lyophilized protein is stable for a few weeks at room temperature, but best stored at -20°C. We recommend a quick spin followed by reconstitution in 5 mM Tris, pH7.2, to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for future use. Reconstituted IL-10 should be stored in working aliquots at -20°C.
