General description

Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH), also known as thyrotropin, is a critical regulator of thyroid gland function and systemic metabolism. Secreted by the pituitary gland, TSH stimulates the production of thyroid hormones (T3 and T4), which influence energy balance, growth, and development. In rodent models, TSH levels are essential for studying hypothyroidism, endocrine disruption, and metabolic disorders. Quantifying TSH provides insight into thyroid axis activity and its role in maintaining hormonal homeostasis.

Application

MILLIPLEX® Qualified assays undergo rigorous assay development, verification, and Quality Control testing to achieve optimal performance. Quantitatively analyze TSH levels in rat and mouse serum, plasma, or tissue culture supernatant samples.

Analyte included: Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH)

Assay Characteristics: Singleplex magnetic bead-based immunoassay; refer to protocol for sensitivity, precision, and cross-reactivity details.
