General description
Salmonella ID Membrane is a substrate-carrying ID membrane used for rapid identification and differentiation of Salmonella sp. from coliforms through characteristic color reactions. The membranes contain chromogenic substrates, which serve as the basis for microbe differentiation by color. The principle is based on a specific substrate enzyme reaction in which Salmonella organisms will fluoresce light purple to blue color when visualized under UV light.
Application
Salmonella ID Membrane is used for rapid detection, confirmation, and differentiation of Salmonella sp. from other coliforms in water and food samples. They find their application in various sectors such as the food and dairy industry, water industry, pharmaceutical laboratory testing, cosmetic industry, environmental and sanitary testing, clinical diagnostic, etc.
