General description

Sulfadimethoxine is an long acting sulfonamide antibiotic, commonly used against a broad spectrum of bacterial infections in animals. Its mode of action involves the inhibition of folic acid synthesis in prokaryotes. It is also widely used in veterinary medication to treat coccidiosis in cats and dogs.
