Nutrients in Soil - PT proficiency testing material is produced in accordance with ISO/IEC 17043:2010. This product is produced according to TNI requirements. However, please note, this sample may include non-TNI analytes as well.

Nutrients in Soil - PT is a soils/hazardous waste (soil/HW nutrients) proficiency testing material, suitable for testing nutrients in soil samples.

Our soil PT samples behave as real samples; and, unless there is no alternative, are not simply spikes added to a blank soil. They are designed to meet the requirements of national, regional and state-specific accreditation bodies (TNI, USEPA, UKAS) for quality assurance and continuous improvement.

Preparation Note


  • All analytes are present in their acid (water-soluble) form.
  • A total sample size of 100 g is provided.
  • The PT sample has been sterilized.
  • The evaluation of results will be based on study statistics for equivalent methods.

Sample Preparation

  • The PT soil  is to be extracted and analyzed using an appropriate extraction and analytical method for Ammonia as N, TKN, TOC, Total Phosphorus and COD. Mix well.
  • No modification to the sample prior to sub-sampling is necessary.
  • In the PT Portal, please list the determinative technique used for the analysis of this sample.
  • Report your results as mg/Kg on a dry weight basis on the analysis data sheet provided.
