General description
KLF8 functions as a downstream target of focal adhesion kinase (FAK) during cell cycle progression and cyclin D1 regulation. It has also been implicated in oncogenic transformation. Furthermore, KLF8 is known to have prognostic implications in gastric adenocarcinomas.
Rabbit Anti-KLF8 (AB2) antibody recognizes human, mouse, and rat KLF8.
Rabbit Anti-KLF8 (AB2) antibody recognizes human, mouse, and rat KLF8.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide directed towards the middle region of human KLF8
Application
Rabbit Anti-KLF8 (AB2) antibody can be used for western blot applications at a concentration of 0.5μg/ml. It has also been used for immunohistochemistry applications.
Biochem/physiol Actions
KLF8 is abnormally expressed in female patients with X autosome translocation t(X;21)(p11.2;q22.3) and non-syndromic mental retardation.

Krűppel-like factor 8 (KLF8) is important in cell proliferation, epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition, cell migration, and invasion. Gastric adenocarcinoma is among the leading causes of cancer-related death in the world. In this study, the clinicopathologic correlation of KLF8 expression with gastric adenocarcinoma

Kruppel-like factor 8 (KLF8) is a member of the family of KLF transcription factors. Several KLF members have been shown to play a role in oncogenesis. We have previously demonstrated that KLF8 mediates cell cycle progression downstream of focal adhesion

Focal adhesion kinase (FAK) is an important mediator of integrin signaling in the regulation of cell adhesion, migration, survival, and proliferation. Here we report the identification of the transcription factor KLF8 as a target of FAK in cell cycle regulation.
