The antibody is directed against rat Ia common non-polymorphic antigen. It binds to the majority of peripheral B cells, dendritic cells and some epithelium but not peripheral T cells. The antibody cross-reacts with polymorphic Ia determinant in mice of H-2 haplotype k and s.

RPMI 1640 + 2mM glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS)

Seed at 5x10,000 viable cells/ml. Subculture when cells reach 5x100,000-1x1,000,000 cells/ml (usually after 3-4 days); 5% CO₂; 37°C.
