Biochem/physiol Actions
Detroit 573 was initiated in 1967 from a skin biopsy of a deceased new-born female with multiple congenital anomalies. Approximately 94% of the cell population is 45,XX,t(Bp-;Dq+). The translocated B/D chromosome morphologically resembles a group A-2 chromosome. The cell line is susceptible to polyvirus type 1 and vesicular stomatitis (Indiana Strain) virus.
Human Caucasian skin, B/D translocation
