Control cell line for heterozygosity studies using the AGLCL cell line

Derived from a lung squamous cell carcinoma of a 72 year old Caucasian male. The B-lymphoblastoid cell line AGLCL (Sigma Catalogue number. 89120566) was derived from the same patient. Cells grow as large swollen aggregates, which will detach and eventually grow in suspension.

Human Caucasian lung squamous cell carcinoma

RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).

Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:5 to 1:10 i.e. seeding at 5x1,000-2x10,000 cells/cm² using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA, 5% CO₂; 37°C.
