Mouse Erythroleukemia
The mouse erythroleukemia cell line F4N(MEL) was established in 1977. They lost the ability for erythroid differentiation by induction with DMSO or other reagents. Eight percent of the total number of cells in culture undergo spontaneous apoptosis.
Preparation Note
Maintain cultures between 3-9 x 100,000 cells / ml; 5% CO2; 37°C.
RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
