Investigation of differentiation-inducible leukaemia cells is considered important in the understanding of leukaemic or neoplastic state. Several ascites lines derived from friend virus-induced erythoid leukemia show an erythroid morphology and also, unusually high haem synthesis. Most cultured lines of friend virus-induced leukemia in mice, are known to be inducible to differentiate towards erythocytes. F-5-5.F1 is susceptible to the induction by both dimethyl and butyric acid.
Mouse Lymphocyte, friend leukemia
