General description
Eppendorf® Centrifuge MiniSpin Plus is a powerful and user-friendly centrifuge small enough to equip your workstation. It is available in two models to meet your performance requirements. MiniSpin Plus provides sufficient speed for molecular biology separations.
Features and Benefits
- Capacity: The centrifuge can hold a total of 12 tubes, with each tube having a capacity of either 1.5 mL or 2.0 mL. Additionally, it can accommodate 2 PCR strips.
- Speed: The centrifuge can reach a maximum speed of up to 12,100 to 14,100 times the force of gravity (g). This corresponds to a rotational speed of 13,400 to 14,500 revolutions per minute (rpm). The high speed allows for efficient and rapid separation of samples.
- Compact Footprint: The centrifuge has an extremely compact design, which means it takes up minimal space in the laboratory or workspace
- Digital Display: It is equipped with a digital display that allows users to set the time and speed accurately, ensuring reproducibility and precise centrifugation conditions.
- Material Composition: The rotor, inner centrifuge lid, and lid latch are all made of metal. This choice of materials enhances operational safety, as metal components are generally more robust and durable than plastic ones.
- Soft-Touch Lid Closure: The centrifuge features a soft-touch lid closure mechanism, making it easy and ergonomic to lock the lid securely.
- Automatic Lid Opening: At the end of a centrifugation run, the lid automatically opens. This feature helps prevent the samples from warming up and allows easy access to the centrifuged samples.
- Automatic rpm/rcf Conversion: The centrifuge is equipped with an automatic conversion feature that allows users to switch between displaying the speed in revolutions per minute (rpm) or the relative centrifugal force (rcf), which is expressed in times the force of gravity (g).
- Extended Time Option: The centrifuge offers an extended time setting, allowing centrifugation runs to be set for up to 99 minutes. Alternatively, users can choose continuous centrifugation, which means the centrifuge will keep running until manually stopped.
