General description
Anti-KITH Antibody detects endogenous levels of total KITH protein.
The Thymidine kinase 1 (TK1) gene is mapped to human chromosome 17q25.3.
Immunogen
The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human KITH.
Immunogen Range: 161-210
Immunogen Range: 161-210
Biochem/physiol Actions
Thymidine kinase 1 (TK1) takes part in the process of DNA synthesis. It catalyzes the formation of pyrimidine deoxynucleotides through salvage pathway. The enzyme is an ATP dependent kinase. TK1 serves as a biomarker, indicating the recurrence of tumor and metastasis of cancer including gastrointestinal cancer, leukemia and lymphoma.
