General description

Gentamicin-Amphotericin B is an aqueous based stable formulation, intended to eradicate sensitive bacterial and fungal infections. Gentamicin is an aminoglycoside class antibiotic inhibiting the protein synthesis preventing the growth of gram positive and gram-negative bacteria. Amphotericin B is a well-known polyene antifungal compound used in cell culture. The Gentamicin-Amphotericin B mixture is especially usable for cell culture applications and as part of viral transfer media (VTM).

  • The Gentamicin-Amphotericin B mixture is composed from Gentamicin 25mg/ml and Amphotericin B 125 µg/mL.
  • The working concentrations according to CDC SOP# DSR-052-05 are 100 µg/mL for Gentamicin and 0.5 µg/mL for Amphotericin B.
  • 2mL Gentamicin-Amphotericin B stock mixture is sufficient to prepare 500 mL working concentration.
  • The product is packed under aseptic conditions.
