Biochem/physiol Actions
Recombinant human ERN2 (IRE2) (499-end) was expressed by Baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal GST tag. ERN2 or endoplasmic reticulum to nucleus signaling 2 protein, is a human homologue of the yeast Ire1 gene product which plays a role in multiple facets of the ER stress response in mammalian cells (1). This protein belongs to the protein kinase superfamily, Ser/Thr protein kinase family.
Preparation Note
Store in aliquots at -70°C. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
Other Notes
Formulated in 50mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 150mM NaCl, 10mM glutathione, 0.1mM EDTA, 0.25 mM DTT, 0.1 mM PMSF, with 25% glycerol.
