General description

Application

Azaconazole is a sterol biosynthesis inhibitor with fungicidal action. It is moderately soluble in water, relatively volatile and may be persistent in aquatic systems. It is used mainly in crops to control canker and other diseases. As per the regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 azaconazole is not approved for use in the European Union as a plant protection product. A default maximum residue level (MRL) of 0.01 mg/kg has been set according to Art 18(1)(b) Reg 396/2005. The certified reference material (CRM) is intended to be used as a calibrant for chromatography and other analytical techniques.
