Application

Bromoxynil is a widely used herbicide used for post-emergence control of annual broad-leaved weeds. It is also a pesticide transformation product. It has a high aqueous solubility and is not considered to be volatile. As per the regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 it is not approved for use as plant protection product in the European Union. Maximum residuel levels (MRLs) have been set for bromoxynil and its salts, expressed as bromoxynil according to Reg. (EU) 2016/1003 for various products of plant and animal origin from 0.01 - 0.5 mg/kg . The certified reference material (CRM) is intended to be used as a calibrant for chromatography and other analytical techniques.
