Application

Metsulfuron-methyl is a herbicide used to control weeds mainly in cereals and land temporarily removed from production. It is also a pesticide transformation product. As of Reg. (EC) No 1107/2009 metsulfuron-methyl is approved for use as a plant protection product in the European Union (EU). Maximum residue levels (MRLs) have been set acc. to Reg. (EC) No 617/2014 for various products of plant and animal products in the range from 0.01 - 0.05 mg/kg. The certified reference material (CRM) is intended to be used as a calibrant for chromatography and other analytical techniques.
