Sample Preparation

Melamine and Cyanuric acid in Infant forumla
1. This sample is in commercially available infant formula contaminated with melamine and cyanuric acid at a level 1-5 mg/kg
2. The bottle contains 20 g of sample
3. Use any appropriate technique to determine and quantify the analytes
4. Store the sample at controlled room temperature 15-30°C

Sample preparation

1. The sample needs no special treatment before use
2. Use your standard sample preparation procedure

Analysis
1. Use your standard analysis method to analyze the sample
2. Report your results as mg/kg in the Proficiency Testing Portal
