(L)-脱氢抗坏血酸(DHA)是一种强效糖化剂，由抗坏血酸（维生素）氧化制得。体外研究表明，对于晶状体蛋白糖化反应，DHA的活性远超葡萄糖和果糖。因此，DHA是晚期糖化终产物(AGE)体内形成的关键前体。
