General description
4,4′-Difluorobenzophenone is typically used as a starting material for the preparation of polyetheretherketone (PEEK) polymer, a high-temperature thermoplastic, which finds wide use in dentistry as well as in automotive, oil industries, etc.
This substance is listed on the positive list of the EU regulation 10/2011 for plastics intended to come into contact with food.
Application
4,4′-Difluorobenzophenone (DFBP) may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in water samples and DFBP/valerophenone mixture solutions by various chromatography techniques.
Analysis Note
The purity is calculated based on the principle of mass balance and is mentioned on the CoA
