Nitroblue Tetrazolium (NBT) is used with the alkaline phosphatase substrate 5-Bromo- 4-Chloro-3-Indolyl Phosphate (BCIP) in western blotting and immunohistological staining procedures. Enzymatic Assay of Glucose Oxidase

To measure glucose oxidase activity, a continuous spectrophotometric rate-determination assay is used at 500 nm. One unit will oxidize 1 μmol of β-D-glucose to D-gluconolactone and hydrogen peroxide per minute.
