Gene Information
human ... CUEDC1(404093)
Immunogen
CUEDC1 antibody was raised against a 16 amino acid peptide near the carbocy terminus of human CUEDC1.
Biochem/physiol Actions
CUEDC1 (CUE domain containing 1) might be involved in protein trafficking and degradation. Changes in this gene are linked with early stage cervical cancer. It is highly methylated in the placental tissue of preeclampsia patients. CUEDC1 is suggested to control trophoblast invasion by participating in the TGF (transforming growth factor)-β/Smad (mothers against decapentaplegic homolog) signaling pathway. The gene is mapped to human chromosome 17q23.
