MILLIPLEX® Humanized Mouse Panel
Humanized mouse models combine an engrafted human immune system with an immunodeficient mouse host, such as NSG, NOG, or PBMC-engrafted mice, where both human and residual mouse cytokines may be present. Until now, measuring human cytokines in mouse samples required separate assays or compromised specificity. The MILLIPLEX® Humanized Mouse Panel changes that, detecting human and mouse cytokines simultaneously in the same sample, with the species specificity needed to differentiate from human immune graft and mouse host response.
Features and benefits:
- Measure both human and mouse cytokines in the same well—the only humanized mouse multiplex immunoassay purpose-built for the dual-biology of humanized mice.
- Requires only 10 µL of sample per well—preserve precious sample for serial bleeds, multi-endpoint analysis, or downstream work.
- Configure to your study—build a custom premix kit up to 41 analytes, run the full 41-plex, or order a premixed bulk kit to conserve fridge space.
- Verified in EDTA plasma, serum, and tissue culture supernatants.
Humanized Mouse Panel details
The MILLIPLEX® Humanized Mouse Panel combines human and mouse immune factors, each tested for species specificity, into one assay. See below for sample specificity of human analytes (IFNγ, IL-6, IL-12p40, GM-CSF, and MIG/CXCL9) in PBMC-spiked mice samples (Figure 1) and the available human and mouse-specific analytes in the panel (Table 1).

Figure 1. Sample Specificity of Human Analytes Within the MILLIPLEX® Humanized Mouse Panel.Human analytes, hIFNγ (A), hIL-6 (B), hIL-12p40 (C), hGM-CSF (D), and hMIG/CXCL9 (E), were assessed in mouse serum and plasma samples from apparently healthy, unspiked individuals. To establish detection of human analytes in mouse samples, supernatant from LPS and ConA-stimulated human PBMCs was spiked into mouse serum and plasma at a 1:10 ratio. Error bars are the standard error of the mean.
