3-Chloropropionyl chloride was used to modify hydrophilic and macroporous polymer resins composed of glycerylmethacrylate, styrene and divinylbenzene. It was used in the synthesis of diethylaminopropionamido-hydroxy-anthraquinones, which are potential anticancer agents.
