Application
Sodium borohydride has been used as a reductant in the synthesis of branched gold nanoparticles from gold(III) chloride trihydrate. It has also been used for the production of hydrogen gas by reacting with sea water in the presence of boron oxide.
Features and Benefits
A convenient solid source of hydrogen gas. Each pellet readily liberates ~500mL of hydrogen gas upon contact with water. Useful for producing an anaerobic reducing atmosphere in biological experiments. Cobalt-doped
