General description
Choline hydroxide solution, also known as choline base, is a strong organic base that can be used in the chemical industry as a solvent, catalyst, and corrosion inhibitor. It can also be used as a stabilizer for quaternary ammonium compounds and as a phase transfer agent in organic synthesis.
Application
Choline hydroxide solution can be used as a catalyst in the efficient conversion of CO2 and 2-aminobenzonitriles to quinazoline-2,4(1H,3H)-dione derivatives.
