Application
LUDOX® HS-40 colloidal silica is utilized:
- As a template for generating mesopores
- As an excellent binder that binds catalyst components together and provides high mechanical strength without changing catalytic properties
- As a substrate to enhance substrate adhesion in zeolites
- In the preparation of nitrogen-doped carbon (NMC), which serves as catalyst support
General description
LUDOX® HS-40 colloidal silica is used as a silicon (Si) source in the synthesis of zeolites, sulphate sodalite, and aluminosilicate gels.
