General description

Sulfuryl chloride fluoride may be prepared by reaction ammonium fluoride or potassium fluoride with surfuryl chloride in the presence of trifluoroacetic acid.

Application

Used in the preparation of novel fluorinated alkanesulfonyloxaziridines, and in the alkoxylation of fullerene C60.
