Hexyllithium solution is an organolithium compound used in organic synthesis as a strong base, alkylating agent, and lithiation reagent.
Application
Hexyllithium solution can be used as an alkylating agent in the:
- Ni-catalyzed cross-coupling with aryl halides.
- Cu-catalyzed enantioselective allylic alkylation.
