Application
N-Heptafluorobutyrylimidazole may be used as a derivatization reagent in the gas-liquid chromatographic (GLC) analysis of the following compounds:
- deoxynivalenol in wheat
- antibiotics (gentamicin, tobramycin, netilmicin, and amikacin) in human serum
- melatonin
- heptafluorobutyryl compounds formed by acylation of indolealkylamines
- acylation products of of morphine, codeine and nalorphine
