General description

Bis(2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidinyl)zinc,lithium chloride, magnesium chloride complex solution is an organozinc reagentextensively used in C-C bond forming,Negishi coupling, Michael additions, Cu(I)-promoted reactions, and electrophilic amination reactions.

Application

Bis(2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidinyl)zinc, lithium chloride, magnesium chloride complex solution can be used as a base for the:
  • Regioselective zincation of pyridines and related azines to synthesize zincated pyridines and azines.(1)
  • Chemoselective direct zincation of arenes and heteroarenes to synthesize polyfunctional aryl and heteroaryl zinc reagents.
  • Regioselective zincation of thiazoles to synthesize zincated thiazoles, which readily reacts with various electrophiles to form highly functionalized thiazoles.
