General description
Amine functionalized GNPs which has Poly Ethylene Glycol (PEG) as the ligand or carrier molecule forms a conjugate with siRNA and is extremely useful in RNAi technology.
Application
Gold nanoparticles 50 nm diameter, amine functionalized, PEG 5000 coated, OD 50, dispersion in H2O can be used in the activation of silica nanosphere for the decomposition of formic acid. It may be used in the radiosensitization and imaging of cancer cells.
AuNPs can be potentially immobilized on antibodies to improve the sensitivity of optical fiber sensors for the screening of COVID-19. It can also be deposited on the titanium electrode for the formation of a miniaturized device for the electrochemical detection of DNA hybridization.
