Application
This poly(ether ester urethane) based on PLGA-PEG-PLGA triblock copolymers linked with a diisocyanate is a biodegradable, resorbable gel former for use in drug delivery systems. This polymer doesn′t rely on temperature or pH to induce gelation, and therefore forms more consistent and faster-setting drug delivery depots. Through combination of various gel formers and/or diluents, drug release profiles may be modulated to exhibit fast burst release through extended (up to 1 month) zero-order release profile. Mass loss of the resultant drug delivery depots is complete within 4 months.
