General description

The red light-emitting spiro-copolymer is an advanced material designed for use in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) and other optoelectronic applications. This polymer is characterized by its high purity and excellent emissive properties, emitting saturated red light. It exhibits low operating voltage and good viscosity behavior in various organic solvents, making it suitable for a range of processing techniques. The polymer′s performance is particularly notable in standard device structures, achieving a maximum efficiency of 1.90 Cd/A and a lifetime exceeding 20,000 hours under continuous operation at 100 cd/m².

Preparation Notes:

Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, dry place away from light to maintain product integrity.

Handling Precautions: Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including dust masks, eyeshields, and gloves, during handling. Ensure a well-ventilated area to minimize inhalation of dust or vapors.

Application

Features:
  • Soluble red light-emitting spiro-copolymer.
  • Long lifetime, with further big potential to improve.
  • Saturated red color coordinators.
  • Low operation voltage.
  • Very good viscosity behaviour in many organic solvents.

Typical performance measured in standard device structure (ITO/PEDOT:PSS 20 nm/SPR-001 80 nm/Ba 6 nm/Ag 150 nm):
  • Max. efficiency: 1.90 Cd/A.
  • V_on: 2.00 V.
  • V at 100 cd/m2: 3.3 V.
  • V at 1000 cd/m2: 5.1 V.
  • Max. power eff.: 1.80 lm/W.
  • External quantum eff.: 2.44%.
  • CIE1931 at 100 cd/m2: (0.67, 0.33).
  • DC lifetime at 100 cd/m2 at RT: >20,000.

Features and Benefits

  • High Emissive Efficiency: The spiro-copolymer exhibits strong red light emission, making it ideal for use in OLED displays and lighting applications.
  • Low Operating Voltage: This feature reduces power consumption and enhances device longevity, making it a cost-effective choice for manufacturers.
  • Good Solubility: The polymer demonstrates excellent solubility in various organic solvents, facilitating diverse processing methods such as spin-coating and inkjet printing.

Preparation Note

  • 11 g/L in toluene for spin-coating.
  • Special formulation needed for inkjet.
  • Preparation should be in N2 atmosphere.
