General description
Triethylamine hydrochloride can be used as a:
- Catalyst to synthesize diphenylmethane via Friedel-Crafts reaction of benzene with benzyl chloride.
- Reactant in the ionic liquid-catalyzed synthesis of quaternary ammonium salts with dialkyl carbonates.
- For the titanocene (III)-catalyzed intramolecular ring-opening arylation of epoxides.
- In intramolecular Kinugasa reaction to synthesize β-lactams.
