Evonik Noblyst® P3059 5% Ru is a ruthenium on carbon catalyst. It has been shown to be effective in the following reactions:
- hydrogenation of aldehydes and ketones
- hydrogenation of sugars
- hydrogenation of carboxylic acids, esters, and anhydrides
- partial hydrogenation of aromatics
