General description

Lithium bis(pentafluoroethylsulfonyl)imide (LiBETI) is an electrolytic salt used in lithium-ion electrolytes. It is a white powder with a high melting point of 328 °C that is soluble in many polar solvents including water, acetonitrile, and many of the carbonates used in traditional lithium-ion liquid electrolytes.

LIBETI Electrolyte Powder is a high-quality lithium salt designed for advanced battery applications. It enhances battery performance and safety by promoting stable electrolyte interfaces, supporting longer cycle life. Its efficient synthesis and compatibility with eco-friendly battery systems make LIBETI a valuable component in developing greener, more sustainable energy storage technologies. Click here for more information.

Application

LiBETI finds use in lithium-ion batteries, including organic liquid electrolytes, water-in-salt electrolytes, and polymer electrolytes. LiBETI has been found to have much better durability against moisture than LiPF6 or LiBF4, especially at high operating temperatures. Additionally, LiBETI is less corrosive to aluminum current collectors than other imide-based electrolytic salts like LiTFSI.
