General description

Our NMC811 is a high-performance cathode material widely used in rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. It is composed of lithium, nickel, manganese, cobalt, and oxygen, with a nominal composition of 80% nickel, 10% manganese, and 10% cobalt. Our NMC811 has a minimum nickel content of 80.0% of the metal content (≥48.2 wt% overall), translating to a nickel-rich composition between NMC811 and NMC85:05:10. This unique composition gives NMC811 its exceptional energy density and power capabilities. The material adopts a layered crystal structure, which facilitates the intercalation of lithium ions between the layers during charge and discharge cycles, enabling efficient energy storage and release.

Application

Our battery grade NMC811 is specifically engineered for advanced lithium-ion battery applications, such as electric vehicles, energy storage systems, and portable electronic devices. It offers an exceptional balance of high energy density and power capability, making it an ideal choice for manufacturers seeking to enhance the performance of their lithium-ion battery products. With an initial discharge capacity exceeding 188 mAh/cm³ at 1C rate and a first discharge efficiency greater than 88%, our NMC811 delivers outstanding energy storage and power output. Additionally, the synthesis process of our NMC811 ensures a controlled particle size distribution (D50 of 9-12 microns) and a low surface area (< 1 m²/g), enabling fast kinetics and minimizing surface degradation. The high tap density, typically around 2 g/cm³, allows for the formation of denser electrode films, further increasing the overall energy density of the battery.
