General description

Methyl anthranilate occurs naturally in grapes and strawberries. It is also found in Burgundy Pinot noir wines, citrus honey and American wines. Methyl anthranilate is also a potent bird repellant.

Application

Methyl anthranilate is a sunscreen precursor (an ortho compound) used as an odor compound in the study of controlled odor release from the cavity of the cyclodextrin.
