CHEMS is suitable:
  • to prepare multifunctional envelope-type nano device (MEND) by a lipid film hydration method based on electrostatic interactions
  • to as a component in bolavesicle
  • to prepare liposome (LS)
  • for the preparation of anionic liposomes by the lipid thin film hydration and freeze/thaw technique and to encapsulate ovalbumin (OVA) and listeriolysin O (LLO)
  • to prepare liposomal membranes to study its effect on the physical–chemical properties of 1-palmitoyl-2-oleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (POPC) liposomes

Biochem/physiol Actions

CHEMS can help to maintain the stability of dioleoylphosphatidylethanolamine (DOPE). This amphipathic lipid is used in mixtures with dioleoylphosphatidylethanolamine (DOPE) to form ′pH sensitive′ fusogenic vesicles. It can control cell growth.
