13:0 Lyso PC has been used as a phospholipid standard to quantify lyso-phosphatidylcholine in lipid profiling of plant polar glycerol lipids using electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry (ESI-MS/MS) and data processing. It may also be used as a standard in metabolomics analyses to investigate the metabolic fingerprint of childhood obesity and insulin resistance.
